Perfect Form for Common Strength Moves

MAKE SURE YOU’RE DOING IT RIGHT BEFORE YOU DO IT REPEATEDLY!

We get it, you like the Group Exercise classes. Whether it’s the energy of the crowd, the music, the inspiring instructor, the choreography, or all of the above, the group classes are your happy place when it comes to working out. We love them too! But, are you doing all the standard moves safely and efficiently?  There’s a handful of moves that we see as staples in many group exercise classes. Some of us love them, some of us dread them but know they’re good for us (insert broccoli image here). The only hitch with group exercise classes is that it’s difficult for the instructor to keep an eye on the form of every participant. They will give you cues to try to ensure proper form, but often the class is too fast to give individual attention to the form of each participant.

So, before you hit your next class, take a look at these common moves. We’ve broken down each move to make sure you’re doing it the safest and most effective way. And, we’ve thrown in some options to moves that can cause troubles for some common injuries.

Happy Group Xing!
