After the past year we’ve had, it’s more important than ever to maintain a sense of community.. and the community at CLM has spoken. CLM is a family-owned local business. The love and support of it’s members is what keeps them going. And there is no better example of this, than in a group exercise class at CLM.
I took my first spinning class at CLM and I have to admit, I was very hesitant. As I’ve mentioned in previous blogs, the idea of working out in a mask was very daunting to me. Although I had been spinning pretty regularly before the pandemic, the idea of spinning with a mask seemed a bit too much for me. BUT . . . I decided to step out of my comfort zone, and boy am I glad I did!
Jacquie, my club ambassador helped me get set up. The bikes at CLM were different than what I had used at my old gym, but in a good way! The ride was very smooth and although it took me awhile to figure out the resistance, it was an incredible workout.
The instructor Carol was amazing!! She was motivating and helpful, but not pushy or scary like some spinning instructors can be.
There was such a sense of community and encouragement among the members in this class, and I’ve seen this throughout the club. From the time you check in you are greeted with a friendly smile at the desk, approached by other members and staff and really made to feel at ease.
But don’t just take my word for it. Take advantage of the FREE trial offers and see for yourself why CLM is so much more than a health club. It’s a community!
