Years of experience teaching: I originally started teaching swim lessons at Roberts Pool in South Jersey my freshman year of high school. From there, I was put into contact with Anne Shorr who got me started teaching lessons at various swim facilities. Since then, I have taught numerous forms of swim lessons at facilities throughout NJ and PA. I was also the head coach of the Cynwyd Club’s Developmental swim team. At this point, I have over 5 years of experience in the field of swim lessons!

Swim area(s) of expertise: Over the past 5 years, I have taught swim lessons to swimmers of all ages! I spent this previous summer working with both children under the age of 10 months and adult clients. I truly believe that anyone can learn how to swim & I love helping people achieve their swim goals through this optimistic mindset! As a competitive swimmer, my main strokes were breaststroke & freestyle. Reflecting on my teachings over the years, I would say that my area of expertise is working to really build relationships with my clients and allowing them to become both comfortable & confident in the water!

How I got into teaching: I have been a swimmer my whole life! I grew up swimming, starting on the recreational swim team at 6 years old. I swam competitively from that point on, and as a result, swimming quickly became my main sport. I swam from the age of 6 all the way up until my senior year of high school when a tear in my shoulder put me out of the sport. I continued as a captain of my high school swim team, finishing out my senior year on the sideline of the pool where I developed a love for coaching. I started off working at a public pool & have since furthered my instruction at various swim facilities over the past 5 years. I truly have a passion for swimming & love the opportunities I have had with my clients in allowing them to further their personal swimming journeys!
