Josh graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Kinesiology. He has been a member of the American College of Sports Medicine.
Josh’s passion for fitness began as a young child with a love of watching athletes and playing sports. Also, with heart disease running in his family, he began to study how the heart, mind and body are positively impacted through a lifestyle of healthy choices in exercise and diet. The body is a miraculous form of medicine, if exercised wisely. Josh’s training philosophy comes from the combination of challenging clients with his sports background, while at the same time teaching proper form and healthy habits to prevent injury and disease.
Josh’s clients have ranged from high school and college athletes to people rehabbing from injuries (post physical therapy), dealing with heart issues, or recovering from stroke, along with the more typical training needs of all those in between. Some of his biggest accomplishments as a trainer include assisting a client lose 100 pounds, training a client for a marathon, and coaching a client to add 30 pounds of lean muscle mass.
Outside of the gym, Josh spends a lot of his free time with his family, playing with his 11-year-old twins, and enjoys coaching youth soccer and basketball.
