Julie has maintained her AFAA certifications since 1999 and continues to add to her areas of expertise through continuing education in the fitness industry. Growing up, Julie played basketball and was a cheerleader, but focused on business marketing and communications in college. She joined Club la Maison as a member in 1997 and quickly fell in love with the variety of group exercise classes on the schedule. So much so, that in 1999 she took the challenge and got certified as a Group Exercise Instructor. Soon thereafter, Julie took the next leap and got certified as a Personal Trainer and has worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels, even up to 91 years old - it's never too late!
Julie is on the schedule both as a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor, leading group exercise classes like Barre, CLM Fit, Cut & Core, Les Mills CXWORX, Spin, and Stretch & Recover 101.
With a business background in marketing and communications, Julie takes her dedication to safety in the fitness industry seriously and loves working with the members to efficiently build their balance, core strength, flexibility and gym equipment confidence, all while keeping a sharp eye on form for injury prevention.
Fitness motto: "If you don't take care of your body, where will you live?"
